Born and educated in Paris, Georgina studied the cello at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She has established a successful career as a freelance musician working with many leading orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic, Bournemouth Symphony, Halle, BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
Over the past decade, she has developed a career in Music, Health and Well Being, working in a variety of settings. She leads the Musician in Residence programme established by Merseycare and the RLPO, delivering weekly sessions on the wards across five different mental health units (including Ashworth High Secure Hospital) and has been the Musician in Residence at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for over 8 years . Other engagements include collaborations with Musique et Sante working in hospitals in France, UK and Ireland, the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival working with refugees and homeless people, Dadafest working with teenagers with disabilities, Knowsley Council working with adults with autism, the Readers Organisation, King Davids Primary school working with autistic children, Live Music Now mentoring young musicians working in special needs schools and Alder Hey children’s hospital, Sure Start centres working with young children and families.
She has delivered training sessions for the RLPO Learning Department, Live Music now, Opening Doors Course at the Tate Gallery, Knowsley Council and the Norwegian Academy of Music.
